BRAIN DAMAGE began in
2009 as a project of Micky and Daxx, but it took until 2013 for the
first concert, when Micky Wehner was able to gather a suitable and
stable live cast around himself. Originally planned as a studio project,
in 2012 the decision was made to become active as a live band, sadly
without Daxx. After several unsuccessful attempts a final live line-up
could be found in the spring of 2013.
Besides bandleader Micky Wehner (guitar, vocals) and PARADOX-drummer Daniel `Evil Ewald´ Build (drums), who also recorded the drum tracks for the debut album, the band consists of Michael Guerra (bass) and Michael Lorz (rhythm guitar) from the german Trash/Death Metal band `The Flesh Trading Company´. The first BRAIN DAMAGE concert ever was on august 10, 2013 at the first METAL MEE`NIAC event in Schweinfurt, Germany.
With exception of the drums parts `Born to lose…live to win´ was recorded and produced by Micky Wehner himself in his own studio near Hammelburg. Songs like `Shooter´, `Born to lose´ and `Anarchy´ always find the right mixture of powerful and positive aggressiveness and igniting tunes. Friends of classic german Speed and Power Metal and fans of the first two VENDETTA albums `Go and live…stay and die´ (1987) and `Brain Damage´ (1988) should risk an ear!
