The musical spirit of BACKWATER goes back to the early eighties. Many Metalheads still remember the two longplayers „Revelation“ and „Final Strike“, which where released in 1984 and 1985.
One of the highlights in this period was „Rock The Nation“, a tour together with RESTLESS and GRAVESTONE where BACKWATER left a permanent impression all over Germany.
BACKWATER‘s current magnificant live performance was proven under many well-known metal band‘s at the „Heavy Metal Overkill“ Open-Air-Festival in July 2012.
It was the first show with new song material and line-up, after this very long time of live abstinence. Approx. 500 fans welcomed and celebrated Backwater as if they never left the scene.
The current BACKWATER music can be defined as badass, absorbing, partly melodic metal, which is especially affected by very tight rhythmics. The merciless, wide-ranging vocals and shouts crash against a wall made by guitars, bass and drums.
The members left their footprints at various bands like TAI PAN, X-RAY, FATERED, UNDERTOW, WRONGSIDE, DIZZYRE, UNFROYND and AUDIONAUT.
BACKWATER recorded their new material from Dec. 2012 to May 2013. Drums at Basement-Studio by Daniel Bäuerlein, all other instruments and vocals were recorded, mixed and masterd at Everdark-Studio by Martin Winkler.

Mercyful Fate (Essential Albums)

King Diamond Vocals, Keyboards
Hank Shermann Guitars (lead)
Michael Denner Guitars (lead)
Kim Ruzz Drums
Timi "Grabber" Hansen Bass
Mercyful Fate was formed in 1981 in Copenhagen (Denmark) on the ashes of the punk/metal band Brats, by vocalist King Diamond (King Diamond, ex-Black Rose) (real name Kim Bendix Petersen) and guitarist Hank Shermann (real name Rene Krolmark). After going through some lineup changes (see the liner notes in 'Return of the Vampire' for more info) the 'classic' lineup was born, with the addition of guitarist Michael Denner (also formerly of Brats) and bassist Timi "Grabber" Hansen (the two were members of a band/project called Danger Zone at the time, King and Hank used to help them), as well as drummer Kim Ruzz who quickly replaced Nick Smith (Danger Zone's drummer).
The band put out three releases - the self-titled EP (nicknamed 'Nuns Have No Fun'), 'Melissa' and 'Don't Break The Oath' - which cemented their status in the metal underground and the emerging black metal scene. In 1985, citing musical differences, the band split up - Shermann apparently was tired of the Satanic content and wanted to move on to a more accessible hard rock sound. He did precisely that with the next band he formed - Fate (Dnk) - while King Diamond, Michael Denner and Timi Hansen moved on to create a band of their own, simply called King Diamond.
1987 sees the release of 'The Beginning', a posthumous LP containing the out-of-print debut EP along with some other rare recordings. The rest of the '80s is marked by continuing success for King Diamond; Fate (Dnk) flops badly, which prompts Shermann to leave. After Denner quits King Diamond, the two form Zoser Mez together.
In 1992 'Return of the Vampire' is released, containing early unreleased tracks put together by King. Soon after this, King comes across the Zoser Mez recordings, and is impressed by how close Michael and Hank have managed to come to the original Mercyful Fate sound. This leads to a much-celebrated reunion, the full-length 'In the Shadows' and the 'Bell Witch' EP.
The band continued to record and tour throughout the '90s with some lineup changes (original member Denner has left the band again), in-between King Diamond recordings and tours and the other obligations of different members.
As of the present the band is inactive, though their exact status remains unknown. Asked about the end of the band's activities, King Diamond said in a March 2008 interview that Mercyful Fate have not broken up just yet, they are only "hibernating". Though he does not know when the band will come back, he admitted that the band is "definitely not finished, at least in my book."
Shermann and Denner have formed a new band, entitled Force of Evil, which also features Bjarne Holm, Hal Patino and Martin Steene.
Mercyful Fate re-recorded "Evil" and "Curse of the Pharaos" for the videogame "Guitar Hero: Metallica" in 2009. The re-recordings featured a line-up of: King Diamond, Michael Denner, Hank Shermann, Timi Hansen and Bjarne Holm.

Satan's Wrath Metalgrafia

Tas Danazoglou Vocals (formerly also Drums, Bass)
V Guitars
Stamos K Guitars
Costa Bass
Nathan Perrier Drums
Launching forth on a nefarious mission dictated specifically by the horned master himself, Satan's Wrath stubbornly refuse to take their foot off the accelerator on their nightmarish ride to insanity and overload. This brainchild of sulphur-throated multi-instrumentalist Tas Danazoglou, has grown in monstrous stature, unflinching cruelty and sheer bloody-minded intensity over the course of its two full-throttle platters thus far, building an ominous pathway for Die Evil, its third unholy document, which emerges unto twilight in intimidating fashion, blasting their blasphemous attack into dimensions of dementia hitherto deemed beyond the pale.
The formula in Satan's Wrath's cauldron is simple, and the resultant elixir delivers a feverish 21st century continuation of the paganizing infernal assault that was heavy metal at its underground mid-eighties pinnacle: damaged by the slavering spite of Venom, the fleshripping fortitude of Metal Blade-era Slayer, the nightmarish derangement of Possessed, and the machine-gun onslaught of Destruction. Yet make no mistake; this is no retro confection, no harking back to an idealised, battle-jacketed aesthetic ideal. This is a sound driven by a hard-driving imperative of corruption and malevolence, and rendered forth with an unflinching filth of delivery.
Hideous new worlds of depravity are opened up by Die Evil, without a shadow of a doubt the darkest, fastest and most powerful blast of fury that this demonic force has thus far produced. Satan's Wrath's diseased headspace is one where to play heavy metal means to be a thorn in society's side, and an adversary to respectability. Where metal means transgression, where metal means war. Where metal means evil.

"Krush The Enemy" was released in 2010, their debut CD on Philip Anselmo’s Housecore Records. It featured ten tracks covering a wide range of metal terrain aimed squarely at the neck-snapping headbanger in the front row. For WARBEAST, “metal” means high speed riffing, thunderous double bass, roaring vocals and plenty of blazing guitar solos.
On their second full-length album for Housecore Records, "Destroy", Warbeast unleashed an uncompromising and unbridled thrash assault. Living up to its moniker, the collection sees the Texas outfit sharpen their claws and bare their teeth even more than before.
In the spring of 2012, Warbeast hunkered down to record "Destroy" with legendary Pantera and Down frontman and label founder Philip H. Anselmo behind the board. While locked in Anselmo's studio, Nodferatu's Lair, they set their sights on upping the ante across the board from their 2010 Housecore Records debut, "Krush The Enemy".
"This album is simply meaner and heavier than our first," affirms Corbitt. "We've managed to keep the variety we had, but we allowed ourselves more freedom to go beyond the traditional songwriting patterns. It's less predictable. We've evolved as a band, and Destroy proves it."
Building up to the release of Destroy, two Warbeast tracks "It" and "Birth of a Psycho" share a split with Anselmo's solo material entitled, "War of the Gargantuas". It's only a prelude of what's to come though.
At the end of the day, it's about unmitigated destruction for these five individuals. "I want people to feel like they've been hit with a sledgehammer ten times in a row when they hear this," concludes Corbitt. "As long as they feel strongly about, we've accomplished our mission."
